A brief history

The collective was formulated in Thailand in December 2018, after Phan and Francisco met Axel at the Wonderfruit festival working on the 360º Polygon stage. After some inspiring conversations amongst them on the festival grounds, they believed there was an opportunity to combine what Axel was doing with his immersive field recordings with the sound healing experience Phan and Francisco was exploring within the immersive stage. The Earth Echo experience was then launched as the daily opening ceremony of Wonderfruit Festival in 2019 the following year and spanned over 4 days as a fully immersive show within the 360º dome by POLYGON PRODUCTIONS.

The space was created to invite attendees to sit in meditation or lying down to experience a journey that combined healing scent dispersion, powerful ancient healing tools, spatialised vocals and carefully curated animal and wildlife sounds chosen for their potential to trigger ancient memories, emotions and sensations; flooding the audiences' senses, allowing them to feel the reality of nature within and without, transporting minds into other worlds through sound.

Since COVID has taken place, the collective have had a re-shuffle in the group. They have added 2 new members to the team - film maker and musician, Eduardo (Jan 2020) and Composer and Spatial Audio designer, Dr. Daniel Figols (Nov 2022). Axel departed the group to pursue his life-long dream to follow the bird migrations to Africa. Collectively, they have found a complementing group of like-minded people with a common vision and now collaborate in an experimental setup to bring nature's call to the world.
